Director, Sales Operations and Revenue Management – Santa Monica, 90404, United States of America
How You’ll LEAD:
Universal Production Music (UPM), a leading provider of production music for use in television, film, advertising, and interactive media is seeking a qualified Director Sales Operations and Revenue Management to be based in its Santa Monica, CA Headquarters. This sales strategy and finance-focused position will help develop and monitor the sales budget for the UPM US Partnerships and Licensing team, spearhead the creation of team sales goals, track overall performance, manage the support staff, and ensure adherence to necessary licensing and invoice collection controls. This position will report-to and work closely with the VP Partnerships and Licensing (VP) and the Executive Vice President of Global Operations (EVP). This position will be physically in-office three days per week.
How you’ll CREATE:
- Collaborate with UPM leadership and UMPG Finance to create the annual financial plan for the US market.
- Spearhead the creation of team sales goals and track monthly/quarterly results for the VP.
- Monitor the sales team pipeline with a strong focus on new business and upcoming license renewals- tracking sales dashboards in Company’s CRM to ensure account executives are meeting daily responsibilities. Report any areas of concern to the VP.
- Collaborate with VP on monitoring pricing metrics to ensure UPM remains competitive in the market.
- Conduct performance one-on-ones with music licensing account executives for status updates on key business targets. Report any areas of concern to the VP.
- Manage the sales support staff on daily responsibilities, particularly those involving invoice collections, in order to drive down the total of delinquent client payments.
- Liaise with EVP to ensure licensing controls are met with the aid of the UPM contracts team.
- Ad hoc reporting projects as assigned by VP or EVP.
Bring your VIBE:
- At least 5 years of experience in a sales strategy and finance background.
- Experience with setting and managing sales goals.
- Music industry or music licensing experience a plus, but not required.
- Strong time management and communication skills amongst various teams.
- Ability to multitask in deadline-driven environments and adjust priorities accordingly.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, MS Dynamics, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree
