Job Description

Salary: NJC Grade F SCP 9 – 11 FTE £26,409 – £27,711 (£9,158 – £9,609) for 15 hours per week

Hours: 1 5 hours per week, 8.30am – 3pm (includes 30-minute unpaid lunch) 2 days per week (preferably Monday and Tuesday), 8.30am – 11.30am 1 other day, Term time only, 39 weeks per year

Contract: Permanent

All about the role:

Applications are invited for the above student-support role to work within the AEN Team.

The Learning Mentor supports learners who have a range of complex needs, helping them with their learning and with the development of key life-skills.

Essential qualities include:

  • The ability to work flexibly and cooperatively with other staff members
  • The ability to foster positive working relationships with students with complex needs
  • The ability to think creatively, to engage students and sustain their attention through programmes that incorporate variety and interest
  • A professional demeanour when working with staff, students and parents
