Safeguarding Adviser, 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year. All Campuses – We have an exciting opportunity to work within the Safeguarding Team as the Safeguarding Adviser. With an advisory and facilitation focus, the Safeguarding Adviser will contribute to the delivery of, one to one, group works and events in Safeguarding to support a wide range of activities/services to keep students safe in and around college. The Adviser will look to engage students in education, enhancing opportunities for personal and skills development to encourage retention. This role will require strong internal partnership working with academic staff on wellbeing, safeguarding and behaviour. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and guidance to students in relation to safeguarding, child protection issues and mental health as well as working with external professionals to provide ongoing support. The successful candidate will have:- Knowledge of Child Protection, vulnerable adults and safeguarding Strong administration skills Excellent communication skills Experience of working in multi-agency teams Experience of initial assessments and running professional meetings This role is 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, (Term Time) Monday to Thursday. Term Time: Anyone starting midway through the academic year will have their monthly salary slightly reduced, as staff need to have worked a certain length of time through the academic year to be able to receive continued payment through the summer, when you won’t be expected to work. The actual figure would be calculated once a start date is confirmed. At the beginning of the next academic year the monthly salary will revert to 1/12th of the whole pro rata salary quoted.
