Deputy Peers Dining Room Group Manager – Westminster, SW1A 0PW
We are looking for a Deputy Peers Dining Room Group Manager to join our Catering & Retail Services Office at the House of Lords. This is a position where you will show high levels of service delivery with creativity and flair, as well as an appetite for continuous improvement and change management.
Operationally, you will lead your team and manage every aspect of service delivery supporting the Department’s commitment to reduce costs, improve commercial viability and to promote a proficient and responsive hospitality service maintaining the highest levels of customer service.
This is an exciting opportunity to work onsite at Parliament!
You’ll be accountable for/to:
* Ensure that the highest standards of customer service are always maintained and delivered effectively through your team.
* Being responsible for the management of staffing levels in your designated outlet group on a daily basis adjusted according to business demands, ensuring that the efficient and flexible use of staff resource is maintained at all times without compromising on service standards and within agreed budgets.
* Build and maintain a professional, agile, and disciplined team, embedding a culture of outstanding customer service, flexibility, technical ability, performance and business proficiency plus a close working partnership with chefs and their management team.
* Demonstrate highly effective teamwork and collaboration by working closely and in partnership with the food service and food production teams, as well as other key CRS personnel to effect smooth service delivery.
* Working with the Peers Dining Room Group Manager, ensure the professional and personal development of the team, through a robust training and development plan.
* Work flexibly across a shift pattern and potentially in other outlets as directed and when required.

What we’re looking for:
* Strong Leadership skills.
* Demonstrable experience of working in a high quality, high volume hospitality environment, focused on the 4/5 star marketplace.
* The ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team in a busy environment.
* IT knowledge to be able to deal with reservations, emails etc.
* Technical qualifications, vocational qualifications such as NVQ level 3 Diploma in Food and beverage service or equivalent would be an advantage.
