How You’ll LEAD
The Analyst, Global Royalty at UMPG is a unique opportunity to drive territory and project ownership within the company’s Global Administration unit. The role is at the center of UMPG’s greater administration team through which our internal Global partnerships thrive. Reporting to the Manager, Global Royalty, the Analyst role encompasses territory and project ownership with the unique ability to contribute to the evolution of processes and systems. The position is rich in opportunity for involvement with the company’s biggest deals, signings, and international projects.
How You’ll Create
- Ownership and responsibility of assigned territories and projects as part of the Global Royalty team.
- Maintain a strong knowledge base of assigned territories and projects, including usage understanding, payment schedule, statement layout details, and unique processing steps.
- Ensure consistency in defining and maintaining a high standard for global administration as a representative in UMPG’s Global system.
- Prepare and review royalty statement reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting to songwriters.
- Support UMPG’s royalty process with royalty statement processing in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with company controls.
- Assist with UMPG Tech development including testing and source interface implementation.
- Provide reporting on information from UMPG systems for management or affiliates.
- Maintain strong relationships with local office affiliates and global admin colleagues, collaborating and supporting as needed.
- Ad hoc projects and responsibilities as required in response to changing business requirements.
- Overtime as required.

- Advanced in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and text editors.
- 1-3 years of work experience or prior internship experience in music business royalty administration is strongly preferred.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as DOMO, Tableau, and Power BI a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in the areas of Music Business, Business Administration, or Accounting is preferred.
