To perform microbiological testing to support Selfcare R&D Category and PDM teams.

Your responsibilities

  • Perform microbiological testing to support Selfcare R&D Category Development and PDM teams.
  • To ensure that all microbiology testing is carried out to required standards and to agreed timelines in consultation with Microbiology associate.
  • To generate microbiological data to support licence applications.
  • To liaise with the external contract laboratory in ensuring that appropriate samples are sent for testing in line with agreed timings and to assist the microbiology associate in providing the relevant documentation to the laboratory so testing can be completed correctly.
  • To ensure that primary data is accurately reported to meet Recktt and regulatory standards.
  • To assist the microbiology associate in reporting microbiology data to the relevant category teams to agreed timelines.
  • To assist the laboratory manager in ensuring equipment is monitored and maintained to agreed procedures.
  • To assist the microbiology associate in scheduling microbiology testing to ensure project timelines are met.
  • To liaise with the external contract laboratory in scheduling work, providing the relevant documentation (Testing information sheets, test methods, PO’s), reviewing data and tracking payments/invoices.
  • To perform and implement good housekeeping, cleaning and any other Good Laboratory Practices.

The experience we're looking for

  • Relevant experience working within a microbiology laboratory or R&D and/or a biological sciences or related scientific degree
  • 90% of this role is based on site in the labratory
  • Excellent team working skills. 
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure with competing demands from different R&D categories.
  • An understanding of product development and the role of microbiology within this.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to develop new ideas.
