Role responsibilities
The Early Talent Delivery Lead will contribute to the development and delivery of Early Talent programmes across TfW, that attract, develop and retain future talent, supporting a skilled, diverse, and future ready workforce aligned to the overall Early Talent Strategy.
• Design and deliver early talent programmes across graduate, apprenticeship, internship, and work experience routes by leading the full recruitment and delivery process aligned with the Early Talent strategy to build a strong, sustainable talent pipeline that meets future workforce needs.
• Drive inclusive attraction and acquisition of early talent through innovative, and candidate-centred recruitment processes to attract diverse top talent and ensure a fair, best in class candidate experience that is aligned to the Early Talent Strategy and relevant UK employment law and legislation.
• Manage and deliver a range of early talent projects including EDI, branding, and programme development by aligning all initiatives with TfW’s Early Talent strategy and business objectives to enhance TfW’s reputation and talent offer while supporting strategic workforce goals.
• Build and sustain partnerships with external organisations like schools, colleges, and universities through regular engagement, events, and collaboration with delivery partners to widen access to early talent opportunities and reach diverse candidate groups.
Who we’re looking for
• Proven experience in early careers and talent methodologies, strategies and tools.
• Demonstrable experience of delivering early talent engagement and attraction campaigns and building brand presence particularly on social media to help in the attraction of top talent.
• Ability to partner with key stakeholders both internally and externally to deliver on the early talent agenda, driving interventions that works across business areas and deliver business impact.
• Ability to analyse and effectively use data and insights to support the future success of the early talent strategy.
• An awareness of Government policy on skills including but not limited to, apprenticeship government funding and legislation.
• Knowledge of early talent trends, best practices, and relevant legislation (e.g. apprenticeships frameworks, EDI Considerations)
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
Transport for Wales supports and promotes the use of the Welsh Language by employees and will encourage them to develop, improve and maintain their Welsh Language skills. We fully support our people who want to improve their Welsh language skills, and personal development for Welsh Language skills are offered in a variety of ways such as online learning, classroom courses and funding attendance at local community courses.
