About the role
The School of Management is seeking to appoint one Lecturer (Teaching and Learning) in Business and Society to join the Marketing, Business & Society Division within the School of Management.
The School of Management is a vibrant and productive community. It was ranked 1st for Marketing and 3rd for Business & Management Studies in the Complete University Guide 2021. In the 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF), Times Higher ranked the School 7th in the UK for Business and Management Studies and 4th in the UK for its research environment. As much as 93% of research is classed as world leading and internationally excellent.Â
The Business and Society Group achieves teaching excellence across our highly-rated and popular undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses, including our MSc Sustainability and Management. The successful candidates will bring contemporary practical and theoretical knowledge, alongside proven teaching ability, and will be expected to engage and enthuse students. We specifically encourage expertise in business and society interactions, including one or more of the following areas: Corporate Responsibility, Business Ethics, Corporate Sustainability/Environmental Management, and Grand Challenges.
The School also achieves research excellence in the Business & Society field: the Centre for Business, Organisations & Society (CBOS), which is led by Professor Andrew Crane, is an international hub for the field’s leading scholars and has a long-established, global reputation. Colleagues within CBOS are active contributors to the academic community: editing journals, taking-up leadership positions in professional bodies, organising workshops and conferences and supporting and training new researchers.Â
