Our Internship Overview
The Amplify U Internship is a structured, 12-month paid programme open to individuals aged 18 and over who demonstrate a strong interest in a career in the music industry. Interns are placed within specific departments and will gain meaningful, hands-on experience while developing professionally and personally through curated development sessions, projects and network-building opportunities.
The Role
Universal Music Group is looking for a Media Buyer Intern to support the day to day management of digital media campaigns, and for identifying opportunities to improve performance. The ideal candidate should be a dynamic and organised problem-solver, with an understanding of social & digital media platforms and how they work. Someone who is eager to learn about developments in the media industry and best practice in campaign management and analytics technology.

Supporting the building and management of media campaigns within demand side platforms and /or across partners such as Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Google Ads, Spotify is a bonus.

Working closely with data analyst & strategic planners to report performance and deliver campaigns in line with performance targets.

Performing account management responsibilities and escalating campaign issues to media planners & HoD as required.

Who you are:

Passionate about music and music video content, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude

Desire to pursue a career within the creative fields of a label, previous experience highly advantageous

Proven experience of working effectively and efficiently under pressure in a calm and organised manner

Knowledge of the UK music landscape & new talent within it
-
Professional, proactive and flexible approach to work – ability to prioritise, multi-task & pre-empt problems before they occur

Excellent track record of working to strict deadlines & maintaining a high standard of attention to detail

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels

Strong problem-solving skills

Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships both internally and externally

Ability to deal with situations discreetly & confidentially

Able to demonstrate a tactful and diplomatic approach

Experience in using in house computer systems and packages including Excel, Word and Outlook
