About the role 

Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for a Finance Assistant to join the Children’s Commissioning Finance Team on a permanent basis. 

Join our dedicated team in Children’s Commissioning, where your financial expertise will directly contribute to shaping the future of children’s services. In this vital role, you will have the unique opportunity to blend your financial acumen with a passion for social impact, ensuring that every decision and investment made supports the wellbeing and development of children in our community.

This role is a hybrid role working from home and from our office in New Shire Hall in Alconbury.

About you 

You will have previous experience within finance and will have previously worked with finance systems and kept accurate financial records. You will have knowledge of payment systems, ERP and ideally previous exposure to CONTROCC .

You will have good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and will have good interpersonal and customer care skills and the ability to proactively lead, deal with and resolve provider queries regarding payments. You will also have the ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues, other teams, and partners.
