We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Research Assistant to support projects based within the NIHR BioResource Centre Maudsley.
 
​​You will be based in the KCL Social, Genetic, and Developmental Psychiatry Centre, within the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN).

About the role:

This will be a post working on fundamental recruitment, research, and data analysis related tasks in the NIHR BioResource Centre Maudsley. The BioResource is focused on recruiting participants with mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders as well as other health conditions in diverse populations.
 
The post-holder will work within a multi-disciplinary team of clinical, research and mental health professionals and will provide support for large scale research studies within the BioResource. Additionally, they will support diversity recruitment projects. The post-holder will have good organisational skills, be adaptable, proactive, possess good teamwork skills and be capable of working independently. Ideally, they should possess knowledge of R or Python or be willing to learn these skills.
 
The BioResource team supports local recruitment within the Trust, requiring venepuncture skills. The successful candidate will be phlebotomy trained or willing to attend courses to acquire this skill. They will work with the BioResource team to consent biological samples in the form of blood and/or saliva, enter data, manage online databases of participant information, and run reports at PI’s request. The post holder will work within (and travel to) King’s College London and Kings Health Partners clinical and research sites, and within a team of research assistants.
 
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract for 2 years.
