 Revit Technician
The Role
As a Revit Technician, you will be responsible for providing real-time support, assistance, and leadership in the effective delivery of Revit design for temporary and permanent civil work packages, including concrete, ground and steelworks.
The Revit Technician will report directly to the Senior Temporary Works Engineer and collaborate closely with our project and engineering teams covering Barhale projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, outline and detail designs for projects
- Production of technical drawings in Autodesk Revit (2023-2026)
- Manage drafting process (conceptual, detailed and for construction)
- Responsible for the application of BIM and the Digital Construction procedures at the design, construction and handover stages of the project
- Creating high quality, accurate 2D and 3D models and drawings to support project delivery using Autodesk software; Revit
- Undertaking structural and civil infrastructure design and master planning, from concept stage through to construction
- Managing the delivery of Revit models and CAD documentation of designs, as well as working in a BIM environment
- Prepare technical reports, specification and schedules
- Process surveys
- Prepare project visuals in 3D
  Health and Safety Compliance
- Provide input to the pre-construction Health and Safety Plan, including risk assessments, so that it can be prepared and updated at appropriate intervals
- Provide input to the Designers Health and Safety File and Quality Assurance File and ensure it is reviewed and updated accordingly
Project Management
- Ensure that the technical content of all work is carried out in accordance with the agreed timescales and budgets.
- Development of models and reports in line with client scheduling requirements
- Liaising with all project stakeholders such as clients, internal management, and our supply chain to ensure clear communication of project scope and model requirements
Collaboration
- Work closely with leading design senior members and other team members from other disciplines to ensure the project requirements are met and drive efficient delivery
- Participate in project reviews relating to design, progress, and construction to receive questions and challenges in a constructive manner
- Working closely with tenders, bids, temporary works, site and project teams in the design and production of 2D and 3D Models
- Integration of supply chain model data
About you
Essential
- Level 5 qualification or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
- Experienced working with Autodesk Revit in the construction, architectural or surveying sectors
- Excellent visual communication skills
- Proven working knowledge and understanding of BIM Procedures and Protocol
- A technical background in infrastructure design, demonstrating development of a technical specialism in a core infrastructure discipline
- An ability to undertake design tasks with minimal supervision, good communication skills, and a willingness to interact with all members of the team
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPointÂ
Desirable
- Reinforcement detailing and scheduling
- Experience with Revit phasing
- Concrete specification and design
- Experience in handling point cloud surveys
