About the role

At West Northamptonshire Council (WNC), our vision is simple: to make West Northants a great place to live, work, visit and thrive.

To achieve that, we need people who think strategically, act decisively, and deliver impact that lasts.

We’re looking for an exceptional Strategic PFI Contracts Manager to take the lead in managing and shaping the future of some of our most significant PFI/PPP partnerships — major contracts spanning our schools and adult care portfolios, collectively worth over £1 billion.

This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring these vital long-term partnerships continue to deliver value, performance, and quality for our communities

About you

Proven experience managing PFI/PPP or large-scale public sector contracts, with an eye for both the strategic picture and the commercial detail.

Strong financial and governance skills — confident managing multi-million-pound budgets.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

A background in building, surveying, construction project management, or contract management, supported by a degree or equivalent professional experience.

The drive to innovate, improve, and make things happen.
