Help keep Cambridgeshire moving
Are you practical, organised, and enjoy working outdoors?
Do you want to play a key role in keeping roads safe and well maintained for local communities?
We’re looking for a Highways Maintenance Technician to join our Highway Maintenance & Management team.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll make a real difference across Cambridgeshire’s road network.

About you
Essential
- Good general education (GCSEs including English, Maths and Science or equivalent)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to solve problems and work independently
- Basic IT skills (e.g. email, Word, Excel)
- A full UK driving licence
- Willingness to work outdoors and travel across the county
Desirable (but not essential)
- Knowledge of highways or local government
- Experience working with a range of stakeholders or the public
- Additional driver training or experience with larger vehicles
