About the role
We are looking for an experienced Academy Scouting Coordinator to act as the central link between all internal and external scouting activities within our academy structure. You will lead and manage scouting coverage across the academy, ensuring an effective and strategic coverage plan is in place. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments, maintaining a thorough understanding of scouting rules and regulations, and providing detailed feedback on scouting coverage.
You will act as the key contact for all incoming and outgoing scout requests, ensuring timely communication and follow-up. You will collaborate with the Recruitment Operations Manager and Match Day Operations Team to establish a clear Scouting & Matchday Policy, maintain and update the Scout Schedule Planner, and provide feedback on scouting coverage locally, nationally, and internationally.
Additionally, you will attend Academy home games, use the internal scouting system to assign reported players to appropriate shortlists, and provide monthly coverage updates and progress tracking reports.
Your impact
You will hold an undergraduate degree in a sport-related discipline (or equivalent relevant qualification) and will have a good knowledge of football with the ability to work flexibly and maintain strict confidentiality. You will possess strong interpersonal and communication skill and the ability to embrace change and meet strict deadlines.
With a growth mindset you will have a good understanding of how data insight can contribute to recruitment development in an elite-level football environment, ideally within an academy setting.

Location
This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne at our Academy. Please note, if you are not located in the Northeast and unable to relocate, we regret that we will not be able to progress your application.
