Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner – Salisbury

B8a Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APP) 

Base: Predominantly Salisbury District Hospital (with travel to South Wiltshire sites as required)

Hours: 37.5 per week, a job share may be considered for the right candidates (minimum of 15 hours)

Band 8a or Trainee APP Band 7

About the Role

As an APP, you will work as a highly specialised autonomous clinician within MSK physiotherapy medicine. 

You will take the lead in:
Triaging, assessing, and managing a wide range of MSK conditions including Spines and peripheral conditions — including complex presentations
.

Taking clinical responsibility for the patient journey, from first contact to ongoing management plans.

Applying and growing advanced expertise in at least three key anatomical areas, supported by a team committed to your development.

Using your specialist orthopaedic knowledge to inform high‑level clinical decisionmaking.
This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys challenge, independence, and impactful work.

The post holder will actively contribute to:
Service improvement and development projects

Meeting CQC requirements and standards

Ensuring the service continues to deliver safe, effective, high‑quality careSupporting innovation and best practice within the MSK pathway
Your voice and ideas will help drive continued excellence.
