Description: Our Revenue and Benefit Services team is proud of its achievements in delivering high quality customer service and is looking for a Benefits Assessment Officer to complement our busy team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated person to help us in delivering our Benefit Service by undertaking Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support assessment duties.
You will need to have worked as a Benefits Assessment Officer, so will realise the need to adapt quickly to changes in regulations and working practices and be able to work accurately in the face of demanding workloads. You will already have extensive knowledge of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support and will also appreciate the sensitivity that is required to support each benefit claim, and will be able to demonstrate you can do this in an understanding and professional manner.

Hours: This is a part-time role, for 30 hours per week.
Working Pattern: Tuesday – Friday
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £37,280 – £41,771 per annum (City Pay Band 5) pro rata
Location: The role involves working from home with very minimal need to travel to central Cambridge.
