About the role
We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Buyer to join our team in a pivotal procurement role overseeing both direct and indirect spending. Initially focused on capital expenditures (capex), the role will evolve as we transition to production, requiring close collaboration with internal stakeholders and regional/global procurement teams. Success in this role hinges on your ability to coordinate seamlessly across functions, leveraging strong negotiation skills and relationship-building to drive results. Your proactive mindset and sense of ownership will thrive in our autonomy-driven environment, where you’ll serve as a key link between procurement, stakeholders, and suppliers. Your responsibilities
- Scope of Responsibility: Managing and overseeing indirect spend (materials and packaging) of the factory. With a high workload on capex projects at the start.
- Project Management: Support and drive the execution of projects and strategies developed by regional/global procurement related to the factory.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with regional/global procurement and internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with indirect material suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, delivery and cost expectations.
- Risk Management: Proactively identifying and manage potential risks in the supply chain, including supplier vulnerabilities, market fluctuations and other factors that can impact supply security.
- Supplier Service Optimization: Effective communicate with internal stakeholders and supplier in case of a supplier service issue and develop and implement mitigation strategies to prevent reoccurrence.
- Cost Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement in procurement activities.
- Ownership and Accountability: Take ownership of procurement activities at the factory and serve as the face of procurement, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- PPV: Understand and analyze in detail the PPV of the site and be able to explain and present the factory PPV results.
The experience we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven relevant experience in procurement, specifically in direct materials.
- Good negotiation skills and the ability to drive cost-effective deals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Hands-on approach with a high level of ownership and accountability.
- Familiarity with legal and compliance aspects of procurement.
- Self-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Salary Range
USD $76,000.00 – $114,000.00
Hiring Range: up to 95K

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law.
