Job Title: Course Leader – Music
Salary: Commencing at £33,352 with progression to £38,651 per annum
About the Role

What You Will Do

  • Deliver taught classes in our well equipped studios, recording suites, and Mac Labs, and co-ordinate students’ assessment performances in our theatre and external venues.

  • Assess essential knowledge and understanding of learners, ensuring successful outcomes.

  • You will be responsible for retention, achievement, progress/value added, attendance, and positive progression rates for an identified course or courses.

  • Ensure high quality and effective planning and delivery across the course team.

  • Support internal and external quality assurance processes.

  • Take part in activities relating to recruitment of students (open evenings, interviews and taster sessions)

  • Be an active member of staff teams, contributing to curriculum development, course reviews, and School of Creative Arts activities.

  • Participate in personal development, working to develop your own professional knowledge, and skill set.

About You

We are looking for an organised and experienced teacher/course leader to lead our music performance and production courses. You should have music industry experience and be able to demonstrate skills in course management, meeting learner needs, and monitoring attendance to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Graduate qualification in Music and Level 5 Teaching qualification.

  • A creative, enthusiastic, dynamic, and forward thinking practitioner.

  • The ideal candidate will work well as part of a team and be resilient, adaptable, and enthusiastic, with experience of music performance industries.

  • You are student focused, building a supportive and creative environment for students to develop their practical music or production skills within a collaborative environment.

  • We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills.
