Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and empathetic Customer Service Assistant to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness, United Kingdom. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers, providing exceptional support and ensuring their needs are met with a smile.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries, concerns, and requests
- Handle customer interactions via phone, email, and in-person with a positive and professional attitude
- Listen actively to customer needs and provide appropriate solutions or escalate issues when necessary
- Process transactions, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and company policies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance customer service skills
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong active listening abilities to understand and address customer needs effectively
- Problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues promptly and efficiently
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience preferred, but not required for entry-level candidates
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team
- Patience and empathy when dealing with challenging situations
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed
