Role responsibilities
The Digital Finance & Governance Lead will lead and the Finance Transformation programme and spearhead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of all digital finance governance systems frameworks and processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring robust compliance, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment with the organisation’s long-term objectives, driving innovation and resilience in the finance and governance functions.
- Lead the development of a clear and compelling vision for the Digital Finance Transformation by defining a long-term horizon plan, ensuring visibility and prioritising initiatives effectively, so that the programme’s objectives are directly aligned with the organisation’s strategic goals and financial targets.
- Develop compelling business cases for investment in digital technology systems and change by clearly articulating the value, including potential cost savings and efficiency gains, to ensure value for money and justify the investment to stakeholders.
- Manage and create the finance transformation programme by defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements, and by overseeing the integration and optimisation of digital finance processes and systems, in order to drive efficiency, accuracy, and transparency and ensure a successful handover to the business.
- Lead the development and implementation of digital finance governance frameworks by establishing robust governance arrangements, such as steering committees, and preparing and presenting programme reports, to ensure compliance, organisational integrity, and proper oversight, decision-making, and accountability throughout the transformation.
- Develop and maintain digital risk management strategies by proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating programme financial and governance risks and issues, as well as managing dependencies between projects, so that risks are effectively monitored and addressed throughout delivery.
Who we’re looking for
- Demonstrable experience in leading digital financial governance and control functions within a complex, regulated environment.
- Proven ability to analyse, develop, and implement digital business processes and best practice frameworks, ensuring efficient and effective financial and governance operations aligned with organisational goals.
- High level of proficiency in digital financial management, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Advanced knowledge of digital financial systems integration, particularly within Dynamics 365 Finance Operations ERP system or similar environments.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
