We have a full time 2 years fixed term DoLS (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards) Case Coordinator opportunity available in our Safeguarding Adults Team.
The role can be offered as a secondment contract
About the role:
This post sits within the Adult Safeguarding/Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Team (DoLS). The position will suit an individual who enjoys a fast pace and has good attention to detail. You will work alongside Best Interests Assessors in the DoLS team. You will assist in upholding the rights of adults in care homes and hospitals to ensure deprivations of liberty are lawful. You will be involved from the point of referral right through the DoLS process to the monitoring of authorised deprivations of liberty.

About us:
The Safeguarding Adults/Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards team is based at Shire Hall in Gloucester, working as part of an agile working offer (which includes working from home combined with time in the office).

About you:
We are looking for someone with an appropriate professional qualification who has experience of working effectively in the health and social care sector. You will have excellent IT skills, be attentive to details and have general understanding of relevant Adult Social Care Legislation.
Excellent communication skills, positive attitude to problem solving and initiate in the workplace are all important attributes needed for this role.
