This is the job

Are you a strategic thinker with deep cloud expertise and a pragmatic mindset?

We’re looking for an Enterprise Technology Architect to lead the design and assurance of our core technology platforms, including Cloud, Infrastructure, Networking, and End User Compute, ensuring they are resilient by design, commercially appropriate, and future-fit.

In this high-impact role, you’ll partner with senior leaders across the business to shape and deliver enterprise-wide architecture strategies. You’ll define actionable roadmaps, drive innovation across hybrid environments, and ensure our infrastructure investments support both operational excellence and long-term transformation goals.

What will I be doing?

  • Define and evolve enterprise infrastructure strategy, aligning with business transformation goals and emerging trends like hybrid cloud and automation.
  • Lead the design and deployment of scalable infrastructure platforms across cloud and on-prem environments, ensuring resilience, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and operational improvement across core technology domains.
  • Govern architecture standards and principles, ensuring compliance with security, sustainability, and performance requirements.
  • Promote shared infrastructure services and reusable patterns to optimise delivery and reduce duplication.
  • Maintain architectural oversight through review boards and design authorities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

What do I need?

  • Cloud expertise: Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and broader cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), including infrastructure-as-code and automation tools.
  • Architecture leadership: Strong demonstrable experience within enterprise architecture roles, with a proven ability to think strategically and deliver complex solutions.
  • Infrastructure depth: Hands-on knowledge of compute, storage, networking, virtualisation, and containerisation technologies.
  • Regulated or large-scale business experience: Experience in regulated industries is ideal but not essential; large enterprise exposure is a must.
  • Pragmatic mindset: Outcome-focused, solution-oriented, and grounded in real-world delivery.
  • Certifications & education: Relevant cloud/infrastructure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Professional), TOGAF Level 2 desirable, and a degree in IT, Engineering, or related discipline.
