Overview

Equipment/General Operative – Naas 

To operate machinery and equipment in all areas of the site as and when required and to deal with the acceptance and processing of waste soils in compliance with all legislative and administrative requirements.

In this role you will work Monday – Friday 08:00am – 17:00pm

The successful candidate will be required to complete a pre employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing as part of the recruitment process.

 

Key Responsibilities 

To carry out all required general operative duties which may include, but which will not be limited to:
  • Operation of mobile equipment such as excavators, wheeled loaders, bobcat, agricultural tractor, dumper truck, bulldozer and others as required 
  • Operation of washplant, including cleaning around the plant as necessary
  • To conduct your duties in accordance with company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the company’s waste licence
  • To complete all paperwork and administration necessary as requested by your supervisor or as the business needs dictate
Adhere to the company’s Health and Safety policy and procedures at all times, including but not limited to:
  • Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) at all times
  • Highlight any safety concerns and report any accidents/ incidents to your manager immediately 
  • Report all non-conformances to the relevant personnel and to follow up to ensure compliance requirements are met 
  • Ensure that housekeeping is kept to a high standard around the site and that all activities comply with health and safety requirements
  • Attend plant meetings, company meetings, training courses etc. as required 
  • Provide direct operational support to any and all areas of the business as required and as reasonably requested by the company including but not limited to support for off site operations (e.g. waste oil and garage services, field services)
  • To be flexible to carry out other duties as may be requested of your Manager from time to time 
  • Communicate any issues that arise within the plant/ process to the Production Manager or next most appropriate person immediately
  • Maintain vehicles, work equipment, materials and PPE clean and in working order and to report any loss or damage immediately
  • Carry out checks , inspections and audits as directed
