We are looking for a new team member to join the finance team with responsibility for posting the council’s cash and reconciliation of the bank accounts in the Financial Management System (FMS).
The Council handles in excess of £200m of receipts and payments each year. Our income is diverse – from council tax to car park income, as is the way that we collect it. Our FMS (Technology 1) enables us bring all our reconciliations online and complete them on a daily basis.
You will come to us with experience in cash posting, allocation, reconciliation and query resolution in a large and complex organisation. You will have a good GCSE passes in Maths and English or equivalent. You will have good IT skills, including Excel and the use of a computerised financial management system.
Basic DBS check will be required.
Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £29,540 – £32,061 per annum (City Pay Band 3), pro rata for part time.
Location: This is flexible – working in Cambridge on site or at one of our offices or working from home. You will be able to balance your work location accordingly.
