Situated in stunning locations nationwide including Heythrop Park in the Cotswolds, Studley Castle in Warwickshire, Thoresby Hall in Nottinghamshire and The Runnymede on Thames, each hotel offers its own personal character that makes every Warner Hotels stay unique.

We are looking to recruit a Head of Commercial Trading who will play a critical role in maximising revenue and profitability across the business. They lead the strategic direction and execution of revenue management, optimising pricing, inventory, and distribution to drive revenue growth and market share. Using data-led decision-making, the role ensures commercial strategies are aligned with business goals across all properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Revenue Leadership

  • Responsible for delivering and optimising revenue performance across a portfolio generating c.£230m annually.
  • Develop and implement differentiated pricing strategies tailored to market segments, trading conditions, and customer behaviours.
  • Lead the weekly trading meeting to align commercial teams on performance, opportunities, and actions.
  • Foster a collaborative, data-led environment that drives accountability and optimises trading across all properties.

 

Pricing, Forecasting & Yield Management

  • Understand market dynamics, competitor pricing, and historical trends to set optimal prices across all products and services.
  • Use demand forecasting to anticipate trading patterns and flex pricing strategies accordingly—being agile in both peak and trough periods.
  • Continuously refine yield management techniques to maximise inventory performance across rooms and other revenue-generating assets.
  • Ensure pricing decisions are data-led, commercially sound, and adaptable to changing market conditions.

 

Channel & Inventory Management

  • Lead the channel management strategy, balancing direct and indirect business to optimise revenue across all distribution platforms.
  • Understand inventory deeply, e.g., how to segment, package, and sell effectively across different customer types and booking behaviours.
  • Drive improvements in channel mix, cost of acquisition, and conversion rates.

 

Technology, Systems & Innovation

  • Champion the use of revenue management systems, BI tools, and automation to enhance decision-making and efficiency.
  • Build and evolve systems that support complex pricing and forecasting needs, ensuring scalability and adaptability.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology, methodologies, and industry best practices.

 

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and develop a team of c.5 Revenue Managers, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Work cross-functionally with senior leaders to influence and align commercial strategies.
  • Represent revenue management in trading forums, flexing communication style to present both micro and macro-level detail.

 

Continuous Improvement & Commercial Agility

  • Adopt a continuous improvement mindset, learning from past performance and adapting strategies to meet current and future trading challenges.
  • Solve complex problems, debate at senior level, and execute agreed outcomes with clarity and accountability.
  • Join the dots quickly across data, trends, and business needs to drive forward-thinking, commercially sound decisions.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Deep understanding of pricing, demand forecasting, and yield strategies
  • Knowledge of direct vs. indirect channels (e.g., OTAs)
  • Strong grasp of RevPAR, ADR, occupancy
  • Ability to link trading decisions to P&L impact and business objectives

Experience / Education / Qualification:

  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue growth

  • Proven experience in a senior revenue management role within the hotel, leisure, or hospitality sector.
