Marks & Spencer is on a journey of digital transformation, and we need a Head of People who can shape the future of work for our Digital & Technology teams. This is a high-impact leadership role, partnering with senior leaders to drive cultural change, build high-performing teams, and deliver organisational effectiveness at scale.

To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you’ll do

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Define and deliver a People agenda aligned to business priorities.
  • Champion inclusion and diversity while building future skills capability.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through strong leadership and engagement.
  • Use data and insights to inform decisions and improve outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influencing change and transformation.

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Proven experience in strategic HR leadership within complex organisations.
  • Ideally, experience supporting technology functions in retail or similar sectors.
  • Strong stakeholder management and change leadership skills.
  • Commercial mindset with expertise in organisational design, TUPE, and people analytics.
  • Resilient, pragmatic, and comfortable leading teams while rolling up your sleeves when needed.
