Overview
Junior Savings Analyst – Wrexham
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 / year
The core purpose of the Junior Product Analyst role is to learn and develop skills to gather, report and analyse data, from both internal and external data inputs. This is to help support a range of strategic, commercial and governance processes, and will provide the data that will help the Head of Savings to design and develop changes to the product range to ensure we are achieving volume and value targets.
Key Responsibilities
- To produce Product Performance reporting for use within the Savings team and across the wider Chetwood team.
- To produce market / competitor analysis of Chetwood’s product pricing
- To produce market / competitor analysis of Chetwood’s product proposition
- To support pricing, product and proposition developments, via the Head of Savings, through the provision of relevant data analysis e.g. market or competitor activity in areas of potential new product development
- To assist the Savings Product Manager and the Pricing & Insight Manager with key relationships, including Treasury, Finance, Operations, Data and Marketing
- Prepare regular reporting packs for governance and trading meetings as required
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong analytical skills enabling the organisation and interpretation of internal and external data sources
- Strong skills in MS Office / G-Suite products used in analysing and reporting data
- The willingness to learn how to query internal databases (PowerBI) would be desirable
- A keen interest in the savings market, the products, the policies and our principal competitors
- Effective verbal and written communication skills necessary, so as to convey the key insights from data gathered and analysed
- Strong organisational and time management skills so as to meet all reporting deadlines
