About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within North Northamptonshire Council’s Housing Solutions Service for a Landlord Liaison Officer. This vital role will focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships with private landlords, letting agents, and other housing providers to improve access to the private rented sector and help prevent and relieve homelessness.

You will work closely with the Senior Landlord Liaison Officer and wider housing teams to secure affordable, sustainable housing solutions for those in housing need. By supporting both landlords and tenants, you will help create successful tenancies and reduce the use and cost of temporary accommodation.

This is a dynamic and varied role where you will provide expert advice on tenancy sustainment, landlord responsibilities, and housing legislation. You will also contribute to service development, performance monitoring, and the delivery of innovative initiatives that support private sector access and tenancy sustainment.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication and negotiation skills, a good understanding of homelessness and private rented sector challenges, and the ability to work collaboratively and proactively in a fast-paced environment.

The role will require the post holder to operate across the North Northamptonshire area.

If you wish to discuss the position further, please contact Claire Davis (Housing Advice and Options Manager) on 07717 342654.
