Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Mentor to join our Additional Learning Support (ALS) team, working closely with the Apprenticeship Teams to ensure every apprentice gets the support they need to succeed. In this role, you will:
• Manage and coordinate support for apprentices with additional learning needs.
• Provide proactive guidance and interventions to help learners and apprentices overcome barriers.
• Liaise with staff, employers, and external agencies to promote inclusive learning strategies.
• Support Exam Access Arrangements assessments and ensure compliance with JCQ guidelines.
• Contribute to improving attendance, retention, and achievement rates across apprenticeship programmes. We’re looking for someone who is:
• Experienced in assessing and identifying additional learning support needs.
• Knowledgeable about SEND and committed to inclusive education.
• Organised, proactive, and able to build strong relationships with learners and colleagues.
• Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting equality and diversity.
