Job Title: Lecturer Acting for Stage and Screen
Salary: Commencing at £34,823 with progression to £39,170 Pro Rata per annum
About the Role

What You Will Do

  • Teach and support students across Acting, Musical Theatre, and Actor Musician courses on modules including Acting Process and Practitioners, Acting Technique, Research for Performance, Screen Acting
  • Plan and deliver engaging, practice-based sessions informed by your professional experience.
  • Provide constructive feedback and tutorial support to help students develop confidence, technique, and critical reflection.
  • Contribute to assessment design and moderation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student experience.
  • Maintain awareness of current professional and pedagogic practices in acting and screen performance.

About You

  • Experienced actor or practitioner with a strong professional background in stage and/or screen performance. You’ll bring a passion for teaching and an ability to inspire students to find and trust their own creative process.
  • Significant industry experience as an actor.
  • A sound understanding of acting methodologies and their application in training.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a creative team.
  • Experience of (or a willingness for) teaching in HE or FE.
  • A commitment to inclusive practice and supporting a diverse student community.
  • A degree or equivalent professional experience is essential; a teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one is desirable.
