About the role
Your role will provide you the responsibility for your area of Blending and/or Packaging– ensuring smooth running and troubleshooting problems. The role is about more than just efficiency – Our commitment to innovation runs through the whole business. So, we will look to you to spot and take every opportunity to improve safety, quality, and performance while following strict adherence to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), Food Safety, and Food Defense are mandatory.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday
1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Your responsibilities
Operate blending equipment including shut down/start up procedures, troubleshoot equipment problems
Certified to operate a forklift
Requires valid driver’s license
Follow blending instructions and sampling plans as requested
Operate packaging equipment including shut down/start up procedures, troubleshoot equipment problems
Monitor semi-automated machinery to ensure proper packaging
Ensure all components being used match packaging set-up form
Follow all Good Documenting Practices (GDP) and guidelines to ensure accurate information
Have general knowledge of ingredients being used
Complete equipment and environment cleaning requirements
Disassemble, clean and reassemble equipment to meet company, customer, and regulatory inspections
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and guidelines to maintain a clean & sanitary workplace
Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership
The experience we're looking for
Physical ability to complete job duties,
Ability to stand for long periods (8-12) hours
Lift, push or pull 100 lbs
Working in varying temperature environments
Ability to bend, twist and complete repetitive motions
Ability to follow directions accurately
Attention to detail and organization skills
An aptitude for understanding and adhering to detailed manufacturing processes and safety protocols.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Time management skills
A detail-oriented and reliable approach, with the drive to take the initiative and achieve high-quality results.
Work collaboratively with a team
Willingness to participate in ongoing training or cross training
Ability to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
A background in manufacturing or production would be beneficial, but a strong desire to learn is also highly valued.
