Recycling Operative – Newbridge
Enva is a full-service and leading provider of recycling and resource recovery solutions, employing over 1,600 people at locations across the United Kingdom and Ireland. With sustainability at the forefront of its proposition, Enva recovers a broad range of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials for re-use in manufacturing and for energy conversion, as well as providing a complete portfolio of waste-water services.
We are looking for a recycling operative to join the operations team at our Newbridge depot. This role will be directly involved in the segregation and sorting of construction material, ensuring we maximise recovery levels from this material sector.
Key Responsibilities
· Picking and segregating construction waste (wood,metal,plasterboard,brick)
· Cleaning and housekeeping of work area and site to ensure safe working environment
· Adhering to company health and safety policies
· Assisting with baling operations (cardboard, paper, plastics)
· Any other duties required within operational capability
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Good hand eye co-ordination
Safety conscious – role involved working with fixed plant and conveyors, and site is busy with vehicles and mobile plant
Role is physically demanding, requiring extended periods of standing
