The Department of Biostatistics & Health Informatics is located within the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience and has been a major force in the development of advancements in methodological Computing and Mathematical research as applied to health research.

The post holder will work alongside internationally renowned King’s College London clinicians and scientists to conduct a cohort study in schools in the UK to evaluate changes in behaviours during the school year 2025/26.

 

It is anticipated that many secondary schools will be implementing changes to their smartphone policies during the year and the role of this job is to understand the restrictions, how they were implemented and how effective they were in terms of: a reduction of smartphone time; educational attainment; classroom behaviour; and mental health.

 

This role will involve a mixed methods approach of qualitative and quantitative approaches.
