Job Purpose:
Following promotion within the team, we are recruiting for a Resourcing Coordinator to join our team for a temporary period.
The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive support to Resourcing Managers and Hiring Managers in the co-ordination, facilitation and delivery of the end-to-end recruitment process. The focus will be on providing an excellent recruitment experience for hiring managers and candidates. You will ensure that campaigns are designed and implemented in a way which meets business needs and adheres to the Civil Service Recruitment Principles of open and fair competition.
Overall, you will have a positive and valuable contribution to play in attracting and securing high calibre candidates into roles across the SPS.
This role is eligible for hybrid working arrangements. Your main place of work will be the SPS College in Falkirk, with the opportunity for some home working.
Responsibilities:
Provide a comprehensive administrative service in support of recruitment processes for a range of internal and external vacancies from vacancy preparation and advertising through to candidate screening, selection and placement. Ensure that recruitment and selection methods are applied in a way that is organised and in compliance with our Policies, Procedures and in line with the Civil Service Recruitment Principles.
Liaise closely with line managers whilst ensuring that campaigns are both designed and implemented in a way which is tailored to the needs of the business but also compliant with SPS policies.
Provide guidance, support, advice and feedback to candidates, hiring managers and Resourcing Managers throughout the recruitment process. Your approach will be customer and stakeholder focused.
Provide accurate and timely transactional responses and communication with candidates and hiring managers, responding to queries and requests as appropriate and using discretion to resolve issues.
Conduct pre-employment checks in line with SPS Recruitment & Selection Policy as well as Civil Service Baseline Personnel Security Standards.
Assist with on-going Resourcing project work in policy/systems development as required.

Experience of delivering a high quality service for stakeholders. Ability to identify opportunities for improvement, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
DIGITAL SKILLS
Experience of using digital tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook & SharePoint to support streamlining processes and efficient management of information.
RECRUITMENT ADMINISTRATION EXPERIENCE
Experience of working in a Recruitment or HR role, managing digital HR/Recruitment administrative processes, maintaining records and managing digital schedules.
WORKING WITH OTHERS
Ability to work and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
