We’re currently recruiting a Revenue Management Analyst to play a critical role in optimising our pricing and seat availability strategies. This is your opportunity to directly influence how thousands of people travel each day while supporting the commercial success of one of the UK’s leading long-distance train operators.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Revenue Management Analyst, you’ll be responsible for managing a key route within our network. You’ll make data-driven decisions to optimise revenue, improve seat availability, and enhance the customer experience.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Maximising revenue and reducing overcrowding by managing pricing and ticket availability through advanced yield management techniques.

Analysing large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across your assigned route, and implementing strategies accordingly.

Using revenue management systems to automate pricing policies, monitor loadings and revenue performance, and benchmark against KPIs.

Collaborating with commercial and regional teams to review feedback, suggest improvements, and deliver actionable insights.

Producing weekly and periodic performance reports to inform both internal and external stakeholders.

Acting as a commercial partner for a specific region — offering strategic recommendations and gathering on-the-ground insights.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills and Experience

Strong understanding of revenue management concepts and systems.

Confident analysing and interpreting large datasets to support commercial decisions.

Proven ability to present numerical information in a clear and engaging way.

Solid grasp of Microsoft Office and analytical/statistical techniques.

A proactive mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.

Commercially driven and passionate about optimising performance through data.
Desirable
-
A degree (or working towards one) in business, statistics, economics, or a related field.

Knowledge of UK rail geography and pricing strategy is a plus.
