OPEN ONLY TO CURRENT LOUGHBOROUGH UNIVERSITY STUDENTS BASED AT LOUGHBOROUGH CAMPUS 

 
Marketing and Advancement are recruiting for new Student Ambassadors to represent Loughborough University. These will work alongside the School and College Liaison team and the Events Team to contribute to the University’s student recruitment strategy. 

 

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about Higher Education, with a passion to promote the Loughborough Experience. They will have to maintain a positive and professional manner through a variety of events and initiatives, whilst helping and actively participating in all sessions and activities required and creating an inclusive environment. There will also be opportunities to support the University’s digital activity across a wide range of marketing campaigns.

Applicants will be asked to answer the questions included in the job advert and evidence how they meet each of the essential (and desirable) criteria in their application. Essential and desirable criteria can be found in the Person Specification in the job description. 

  

1. Can you give an example of a time you felt enthusiastic about higher education and proud to study at Loughborough? How did this experience influence your decision to become a student ambassador? (200 words max) 

 

2. Tell us about a time when someone asked you a difficult or unexpected question. How did you respond, and how did you adapt your communication to suit the person or situation? (200 words max) 

 

3. Can you give an example of a time when you worked in a team to achieve a goal? What was your role, and how did you contribute to the outcome? (200 words max) 

 

4. Being a student ambassador involves balancing different commitments. Can you describe a time when you had to manage multiple tasks or deadlines? How did you stay organised and ensure everything was completed on time? (200 words max) 

  

5. Can you give an example of a skill or experience not already mentioned that shows how you meet the desirable criteria in the person specification? (200 words max)
