Overview

Are you someone who finds purpose in helping others live their best lives? Do you want to be part of a team that’s as compassionate as it is skilled? We’re looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our supported living care service in Stourport-on-Severn.

About the Service

The Location is a vibrant home where we support 3 individuals with learning disabilities and mild challenging behaviours. Each person here has their own unique personality.

This isn’t just a place to work – it’s a place where real progress happens. One of our proudest moments? Supporting a person who was told she would never walk again and now, thanks to our dedicated team, she’s back on her feet!

About the Role

Day to day will include:

  • Supporting with personal care, medication, and daily routines
  • Encouraging people to engage in community outings (pubs, cafés, shopping trips)
  • Leading in-house activities like colouring, puzzles, and dance sessions
  • Promoting independence with household tasks and finances
  • Offering warmth, kindness, and lots of interaction – handholding and hugs are a daily thing here!

No prior experience in complex care? That’s okay—we’ll train you. What matters most is your willingness to learn and your commitment to making a difference.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Kind, empathetic, patient, and a real team player
  • Comfortable with physical interaction – our residents are very affectionate
  • Experienced in learning disabilities or behaviours that challenge or are new to care and ready to learn
  • A driver – this would be a big plus due to our rural location

Experience with medication administration is helpful, but not essential – we provide full training.

Why Join Us?

  • The people we support are genuinely lovely, funny, and full of joy
  • Every day is different – and often filled with music, laughter, and creativity
  • We celebrate even the smallest wins – because every achievement matters
  • One of our residents even has a princess-themed bedroom – that’s how much we care!

You’ll be joining a stable, welcoming team with a mix of new starters and long-term staff, all bringing different experiences and ideas. You’ll always feel supported, and we make sure everyone’s contribution is valued.

New staff members often comment on how approachable and helpful their colleagues are – it’s a great place to grow your skills and confidence.

Location & Accessibility

We’re based in a quiet rural area of Stourport-on-Severn. There is a bus route, but it’s not very frequent, so this role is best suited to drivers or those living locally.
